BRANDON ALLY, PHD •CHIEF DEVELOPMENT OFFICER/CO-FOUNDER

Brandon received his PhD in neuropsychology from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2004 and completed post-doctoral training in cognitive neuroscience at Harvard Medical School and Boston University. He has served on the faculty in the neurology and neurosurgery departments at Boston University, Vanderbilt University, and the University of Louisville.  A published author of more than 50 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters investigating brain mechanisms underlying visual attention, perception, and memory, his work specializes in characterizing and measuring how individuals attend, track, and process information in dynamic visual environments. As an athlete, Brandon competed for the University of Tennessee track and field team from 1992 to 1996.  In his spare time, he helps to support his wife, who operates a not-for-profit organization that keeps him heavily involved in coaching youth athletes.

SCOTT WYLIE, PHD •CHIEF SCIENTIFIC OFFICER/CO-FOUNDER

Scott received his PhD in cognitive neuroscience and neuropsychology from Indiana University in 2002 and completed post-doctoral training in the neurology department at the University of Virginia. He has served on the faculty in the neurology and neurosurgery departments at the University of Virginia, Vanderbilt University, and the University of Louisville, and published more than 50 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters investigating brain mechanisms involved in the control, timing, and learning of motor actions. His work specializes in characterizing and measuring how individuals execute split-second decisions to start, stop, and change actions as well as control incorrect motor impulses in the face of pressure and distraction. Scott holds the position of Chief Scientific Officer with SportsSense and is a founding member. As an athlete, Scott played collegiate baseball at Point Loma Nazarene University.

TED  BASHORE,  PHD • CHIEF SCIENCE ADVISOR

Ted earned his PhD in clinical and biological psychology from the University of Colorado in 1976 and has been a professor of psychology at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and the University of Northern Colorado.  Ted has published over 60 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters focusing on understanding the timing of neurocognitive processing speed and movement control in normal aging, neurological disease, and brain trauma.  Before his academic career, Ted played football and baseball for the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and had a 5-year stint in professional baseball with the Atlanta Braves and New York Mets organizations.  He has also served as a consulting neuropsychologist to the San Francisco Giants and Chicago Cubs. 


TOM NOLAND, PHD • CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Prior to joining SportsSense, Tom was Vice President at MedCare Investments – a venture fund with over a $800 million invested in healthcare including healthcare services, pharmaceutical and medical device companies. Before joining MedCare, Tom was Associate Director of the Vanderbilt Office of Technology Transfer and Commercialization where he was responsible for managing the Chancellor’s Fund, which provided seed capital for early stage companies founded on University technologies and business concepts.  He was on the faculty at Vanderbilt University Medical Center until 1996, at which time he joined Renal Care Group, a publicly-traded healthcare services company.
